EPA to Hold May 5 Public Availability for Amcast Superfund Site in Cedarburg, Wisconsin

CHICAGO (April 30, 2025) – On Monday, May 5, U.S. Environmental Protection Agency representatives will be available to answer questions about upcoming residential survey and sampling work at the Amcast Industrial Corp. Superfund site in Cedarburg, Wisconsin.

When:
Monday, May 5,

5 – 8 p.m. CDT

Where:
Cedarburg City Hall – Bottom floor
W63 N645 Washington Ave.
Cedarburg, Wisconsin

The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will conduct sampling and land surveying work for the EPA starting in May and will continue through the summer. The Corps will be sampling for polychlorinated biphenyls (also known as PCBs). The data will be used to refine the design and specifications of future cleanup work.
