Aquifer Exemption Data

Additional aquifer exemption data is provide in the attached .pdf files and linked information.  The aquifer exemption user guide describes how EPA developed the geospatial files shown in the Aquifer Exemptions Map and defines the data fields.

  •    Aquifer Exemption Geospatial Data (zip) : The zip file contains geospatial data with locations and information on each aquifer exemption (for use with geographic information system software).   
  •     Site-Specific Aquifer Exemption Information (xlsx) : The file is an Excel spreadsheet with site-specific information on each aquifer exemption.
  • Aquifer Exemptions User Guide (pdf) (644.73 KB, June 2022)
    This user guide is intended for use by states, businesses, communities, and others to assist in viewing information about exempted aquifers in the United States.
