Related Information
  • Oregon Water Quality Standards

EPA has finalized federal aluminum water quality criteria for fresh waters in the state of Oregon that are jurisdictional under the Clean Water Act. The final rule ensures that criteria are set at levels that protect aquatic life from the toxic effects of aluminum. The final rule is based on EPA’s 2018 national Clean Water Act Section 304(a) recommended criteria for aluminum which represent the latest scientific knowledge on the interaction between water chemistry and aluminum toxicity.
