A 45-day public comment period is currently underway to give input on EPA’s proposed plan to address the groundwater contamination at the Orange County North Basin Superfund site.

Public comments may be submitted by one of the following methods:

Attend one of the public meetings (verbal comments will be recorded - meeting details are in the main body of this notice)

and/or

Email or mail written comments postmarked no later than February 19, 2026, to:

Summary

EPA is accepting public comments on its proposed plan for an interim action to contain and treat the contaminated groundwater at the Orange County North Basin Superfund site (California).

EPA will hold public meetings in Anaheim, Buena Park and Fullerton, CA to explain the plan. The presentation will be the same at each meeting. A court reporter will record oral comments on the plan.

If you cannot attend one of the meetings below, you may view a recorded presentation on EPA’s Orange County North Basin website.
