Public Notice: USS Lead Superfund Site Five-Year Review
Summary
EPA is conducting a five-year review of the USS Lead Superfund site. The Superfund law requires regular checkups of sites that have been cleaned up – with land-use restrictions due to contamination remaining on-site– to make sure the cleanup continues to protect people and the environment.
EPA’s cleanup included removal of contaminated soil from residential and commercial properties within Zones 1, 2 and 3 of Operable Unit 1 (Residential Area).
The five-year review is an opportunity for you to tell EPA about site conditions and any concerns you have.
