Finding EPA Data

A core requirement of the Evidence Act is to develop and maintain a comprehensive data inventory that accounts for all data assets created by, collected by, under the control or direction of, or maintained by the agency. Data inventories are important to ensure data assets are findable and accessible by EPA staff and the public.

EPA’s Enterprise Data Catalog houses EPA’s comprehensive data inventory and ensures publicly viewable information and metadata is shared via Data.gov. Data.gov is the United States government's open data website. It allows you to find data from agencies across the federal government. Data.gov allows users to search data using many fields (places, topics, etc.).

For questions about the Enterprise Data Catalog and Data.gov, please send an email to edc@epa.gov.
