Regulatory Flexibility for Small Entities
Small Entities and Rulemaking
Small businesses, governments, and organizations have the opportunity to provide early input into the development of certain regulations.
The Regulatory Flexibility Act (RFA), as amended by the Small Business Regulatory Enforcement Fairness Act (SBREFA), provides small entities with an expanded opportunity to participate in the development of certain regulations. The RFA defines "small entity" as a small business, small organization, or small governmental jurisdiction. This website provides information about how EPA involves small entities in rulemakings that are likely to impact them.
