Risk-Screening Environmental Indicators (RSEI) Model

  • Join Communities Across the Country

Use EPA's RSEI model to identify situations that may require further evaluation and to plan for the future.

  • EasyRSEI Version 2.3.10 is now available

EasyRSEI is a fast and easy way to visualize and download RSEI data.

EPA's Risk-Screening Environmental Indicators (RSEI) model helps policy makers, researchers, and communities explore data on releases of toxic substances from industrial and federal facilities. RSEI incorporates information from the Toxics Release Inventory (TRI) on the amount of toxic chemicals released, together with factors such as the chemical’s fate and transport through the environment, each chemical’s relative toxicity, and potential human exposure. RSEI model results can be used to help establish priorities for further investigation and to look at changes in potential human health impacts over time.
