On August 13, 2019, EPA published a Federal Register notice announcing a meeting of the FIFRA Scientific Advisory Panel (SAP) on November 19-22, 2019 from 9 am to 5 pm EDT. At the meeting the SAP will review EPA’s Approaches for Quantitative Use of Surface Water Monitoring Data in Pesticide Drinking Water Assessments.  The meeting will be at the Holiday Inn Rosslyn, 1900 Fort Myer Drive, Arlington VA.

The Agency also announced the request for nominations of prospective candidates for service as ad hoc reviewers to assist the FIFRA SAP for this meeting. Any interested person or organization may nominate qualified individuals to be considered as prospective candidates. Nominations should be provided to the Designated Federal Official (DFO) on or before September 12, 2019.

EPA will hold a preparatory virtual meeting for the SAP members and the public to comment on and ask questions regarding the scope and clarity of the draft charge questions to be used for the peer review. The date of the preparatory virtual meeting, EPA's background paper, supporting materials, and draft charge questions to FIFRA SAP will be available by late-August.  Written comments on the documents undergoing peer review may be submitted to the docket or DFO until the date of the meeting, but anyone submitting such comments after October 4, 2019 should contact the DFO listed below.

Additional information can be found in the docket or by contacting the DFO, Tamue Gibson at gibson.tamue@epa.gov or 202-564-7642.
