Rule Summary

EPA issued national emission standards for Secondary Nonferrous Metals Processing area source category that reflect the generally available control technology or management practices used by sources within the area source category. The final rule was effective on December 26, 2007. The rule sets a particulate matter limits for furnaces and codifies existing management practices already in use in the industry.
