Below is a copy of EPA's letter to the Washington Department of Ecology approving its 2012 303(d) list of impaired waters.

EPA has determined that Washington's 2012 list of water quality limited segments still requiring Total Maximum Daily Loads meets the requirements of Section 303(d) of the Clean Water Act and EPA’s implementing regulations.

The statutory and regulatory requirements, and EPA’s review of Ecology’s compliance with each requirement, are described in Enclosure 1 in the document below.
