Peer Review of the Draft Risk Evaluation for NMP

EPA is holding a public meeting of the Toxic Substances Control Act (TSCA) Science Advisory Committee on Chemicals (SACC) on December 5-6, 2019 to review the draft risk evaluation for N-methylpyrrolidone (NMP). The Agency will use the scientific advice, information, and recommendations from the SACC, as well as public comments, to inform the final risk evaluation. The meeting will be held at Hyatt Regency Crystal City, 2799 Richmond Highway, Arlington, VA 22202.  The meeting will be webcast through Adobe Connect (slides) and telephone (audio).  Instructions for accessing the webcast will be provided on this page in the near future.

The draft risk evaluation is available for public comment for 60 days in docket EPA-HQ-OPPT-2019-0236. Please submit comments on the draft risk evaluation by November 26, 2019, to allow the SACC time to review and consider them before the peer review meeting. Comments received after November 26, and prior to the end of the oral public comment period during the meeting will still be provided to the SACC for their consideration. Anyone submitting written comments at the SACC meeting should provide an electronic copy to the designated federal official (DFO) listed below. EPA will continue to accept comments on the draft risk evaluation until January 6, 2020. The Agency will consider all comments received on the draft risk evaluation by the January 6 deadline when developing the final risk evaluation. When preparing and submitting your comments, see the commenting tips at https://www.epa.gov/dockets/commenting-epa-dockets#tips.
