Reroute Glycol Skimmer Gas
Some glycol dehydrators use condensate separators to recover natural gas liquids and the non-condensable gas (or skimmer gas) is often vented to the atmosphere. Rerouting the skimmer gas to the reboiler firetubes can reduce emissions.
-
Route Blowdown Gas to Low Pressure System
Rerouting blowdown gas (from stations, equipment, or pipelines) to an existing low-pressure gas system can reduce the amount of high-pressure natural gas that would otherwise be emitted to the atmosphere.
-
Centrifugal Compressors
A centrifugal compressor is used to increase the pressure of natural gas in pipelines. Centrifugal compressors contain rotating shafts that require seals to prevent the high-pressure natural gas from escaping the compressor casing.
