STOrage and RETrieval Monthly Domain Value Alerts

The EPA STOrage and RETrieval (STORET) Team hosts conference calls about once a month to allow STORET/ Water Quality Exchange (WQX) users to hear about developments with the STORET/ WQX System and express their comments/questions directly to the STORET staff. WQX Domain Value Alert Archives are posted below.

EPA makes available domains of WQX data elements for both submission and retrievals. Domains are publicly accessible to assist others in conforming to a consistent nomenclature. A "domain-values" web service can be queried to determine the EPA-supplied values of the domains used for both submission and retrievals. These domain value web services directly access the WQX Domain Tables.

STORET Warehouse Domain Value Downloads

EPA makes available domains of STORET Warehouse data elements for both submission and retrievals. Domains are publicly accessible to assist others in conforming to a consistent nomenclature.

An Excel Spreadsheet can be download or Result reports (custom report, selecting only domain element with option "DISTINCT") can be queried to determine the EPA-supplied values of the domains used for both submission and retrievals.

2. A spreadsheet domain report of Warehouse Characteristics and Characteristic Groups can be used to determine substance names and verified via EPA Substance Registry System (SRS).

The STORET team holds monthly user calls where system announcements are made, user questions are brought up, or demonstrations of tools are conducted. User calls are usually held on the 4th Thursday of each month, and reminders for the calls are sent via the STORET Listserv.

The basic agenda for all calls is as follows:

(10-15 min) - EPA staff will give an update on products, support, issues, etc.

(20-30 min) - Each month a member of the STORET community will lead a discussion or present some useful information to the group. If you are interested in leading this section, please email storet@epa.gov

(15 min) - Open discussion, question, and comment period.
