Five Year Reviews

Five-year reviews provide an opportunity to evaluate the implementation and performance of a remedy to determine whether it remains protective of human health and the environment. The most recent five-year review for Wyckoff-Eagle Harbor was completed in 2022.

  • Fifth Five-Year Review Report (pdf) - July 2022

Records of Decision

The Record of Decision, or ROD, explains which cleanup alternatives will be used at Superfund sites. It contains information on site history, site description, site characteristics, community participation, enforcement activities, the contaminants present, description of the response actions to be taken, and the remedy selected for cleanup.

If the remedy selected in a ROD need to be changed, EPA has two primary documents that may be used to identify the changes: a ROD Amendment and an Explanation of Significant Differences (ESD). A ROD amendment is used when a fundamental change to the remedy is required. An ESD is used for significant changes that are not fundamental to the remedy.

  • Record of Decision Amendment for East Harbor and Soil and Groundwater Operable Units (pdf) - May 2018

Community Involvement Plan

A community involvement plan is a site-specific strategy to enable meaningful community involvement throughout the Superfund cleanup process. The plan reflects community needs, concerns, and expectations that are identified through community interviews and other means.
