Celebrating America 250

On July 4, 2026, our nation will commemorate and celebrate the 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence. The journey toward this historic milestone is an opportunity to pause and reflect on our nation’s past, honor the contributions of all Americans, and look ahead toward the future we want to create for the next generation and beyond.

EPA is committed to honoring this nation's rich history and celebrating the people and spaces that make our nation special in our 250th year and beyond.

America 250: Across This Land

A video and storytelling series highlighting EPA’s role in protecting the beauty and health of real places and people across America.

Across This Land is EPA’s commitment to being present in the places that make this country work. That means showing up at sites where our energy is produced, where our land is restored, and where Americans are building things that last. We are visiting cleanup sites, farms, small towns, and industrial communities to meet with the people doing the work.

Feed it Onward

Launched August 2025

All across America, innovators, farmers, business owners, and community partners are proving what has always made our nation strong: we see potential where others see waste and turn it into something that serves a purpose. From organizations that recover surplus food to feed communities, from companies that compost food to return it back to the land and waste partners converting unused resources into value, this work is a living example of the American Dream: resourceful, determined, and focused on building something better.

Feed It Onward tells those stories. It shines a light on the people and partnerships solving problems through action, not talk. It shows how common-sense solutions, driven by American know-how, can protect our resources, strengthen local economies, and inspire others to do the same.

As we celebrate America’s 250th birthday, Feed It Onward allows partners to carry that spirit forward. Proudly using the America 250 and Feed It Onward brands to share their impact and show what leadership looks like in today’s America.

This has always defined us as a nation: when something is broken or wasted, we fix it. When there is work to be done, we do it. And when there is an opportunity to make things better, we take it. This is Feed it Onward.
