In a computer-controlled in-line blending operation, adjustments to blending volumes and other blending parameters are made on an ongoing basis to keep the gasoline being blended on-spec. Normally, these adjustments are made automatically by a computer. However, some aspects of the blending operation must be placed in a manual mode when instrument problems arise. The operator is able to enter values (transfer volumes, blend volumes) in the case of such a manual mode operation. The computer records when manually-entered adjustments are made.
