  • EPA Announces CCR Management Unit Deadline Extensions

  • EPA Extends Comment Period to February 6, 2026

    On November 25, 2025, EPA announced a proposal to extend by three years the closure deadline for certain CCR surface impoundments operating under the alternative closure provisions. EPA extended the comment period for this proposal to February 6, 2026.

  • EPA Approves North Dakota's Coal Combustion Residuals Permit Program

    On November 5, 2025, EPA announced approval of North Dakota's permit program application for the management of CCR in landfills and surface impoundments.
