  • EPA Extends the Comment Period for the Legacy/CCRMU Amendments Proposal

    On June 10, 2026, EPA signed a notice extending the public comment period for the proposed Legacy/CCRMU Amendments by 17 days. EPA will accept comments through June 29, 2026. Read about the 2026 proposed amendments.

  • EPA Proposes to Approve Louisana's CCR Permit Program

    On June 4, 2026, EPA announced a proposal to approve Louisiana's permit program application for the management of coal combustion residuals in landfills and surface impoundments. EPA will accept comments on this proposal through August 4, 2026. Read more about this proposal.

  • EPA Reopens Permit Program Comment Period

    On May 27, 2026, EPA announced the reopening of the public comment period for 30 days to accept additional feedback on the 2020 Federal Coal Combustion Residuals Permit Program proposed rule. Find out more and comment through June 29, 2026.

  • EPA Proposes to Approve Virginia's CCR Permit Program
