Under opportunity 3, can the Tribe purchase remote monitoring equipment for water quality monitoring of Streams?

Past projects have included the purchase of monitoring equipment.  Please be sure to specify why the equipment is necessary for the successful completion of the project and how it directly supports accomplishment of project goals and outputs. Please note that EPA will review all proposed equipment and supply purchases carefully, especially if a single item of equipment exceeds a threshold of approximately 15 - 20% of the overall project budget.  EPA will generally contact the applicant to ensure the Agency understands the need for those specific costs and can explain them, if needed, to the EPA Grants Office. Any supply or equipment costs that cannot be sufficiently justified may be removed from the project budget prior to award.
