Overview

This Notice of Funding Opportunity (NOFO) is expected to result in the award of a cooperative agreement pursuant to the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Action Plan IV, Focus Area 5: Foundations for Future Restoration Actions, Objective 5.2: Conduct targeted science to inform and assess Great Lakes restoration.

Funding Opportunity Number: EPA-R5-GL2025-CWMP

Under this competition, up to $12,000,000 may be awarded for one cooperative agreement over an approximate six-year period.

This NOFO solicits applications from eligible entities for a cooperative agreement to be awarded pursuant to the Great Lakes Restoration Initiative Action Plan IV (pdf) (5.31 MB, November 2024). EPA is requesting applications for a project to perform sample collection and analyses in support of the Great Lakes Coastal Wetlands Monitoring Program.

Applications must specify a start date of September 30, 2025, and must specify an end date for the cooperative agreement no later than September 30, 2031, that allows for the completion of analysis and final data reporting for samples collected from 2026 through 2030. This incrementally-funded award will be subject to the availability of funding, future appropriations, satisfactory performance of work, and other applicable considerations.
