MMSOILS Release Notes

This model is distributed by EPA as a legacy model, but no user support is available from EPA.

Corrections & Improvements to Prior Versions

  • Created MMSOILS model system and user support documentation files (refer to sub-directory README): READ.ME, MMSOILS, RELEASE.TXT, UPDATE.TXT, ABSTRACT.TXT, and RESPONSE.TXT.
  • Created INSTALIT/MediaBuilder code and logic for product version description (.PVD) and installation (.INF) script files.
  • Created Lahey FORTRAN MAKE utility file (MAKEFILE) for MMSOILS model FORTRAN source code.
  • Compiled and linked executable task image program file for the MMSOILS model, version 4.00, using Lahey FORTRAN 32-bit, protected mode compiler and Phar-lap linker.
  • Included executable task image file (XMMSOILX.EXE) and run time support DOS batch command programs and files.
  • Included test output data files within the OUTPUT sub-directory to test installation of the MMSOILS model.
  • Created the following MMSOILS run time support programs and files:
    • MMSOILS.BAT...MMSOILS model execution DOS command file
    • MMSOOPEN.SCR...MMSOILS model welcome screen file.
  • Application revisions to the MMSOILS model system, version 4.00, are included in the file UPDATE.TXT (MMSOILS Model System Update Notes). This document is available as an ASCII text (non-binary) file in the README sub-directory. Refer to file READ.ME in the README sub-directory for further information on the storage format and printing requirements of this file.
