Documents for EPA’s Tentative Decision on ArcelorMittal Cleveland’s Request to modify an Existing Clean Water Act 301(g) Variance for Ammonia

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is proposing to grant a modification to an existing variance to Best Available Technology Economically Achievable effluent limits for ammonia because ArcelorMittal’s request satisfies the criteria in Clean Water Act § 301(g). Specifically, EPA finds that the modified effluent limits will not cause or contribute to exceedances of water quality standards.
