Region 8 NPDES Drinking Water General Permit
2026 Drinking Water General Permit
The Region 8 NPDES General Permit for Wastewater Discharges Associated with Drinking Water Production in Indian Country and Lands of Exclusive Federal Jurisdiction was finalized and public noticed in the Federal Register on June 3, 2025. The final permit is effective as of July 1, 2026 and valid until June 30, 2031. A notice of intent (application form), the permit, and the fact sheet are provided below.
To submit, please mail the original Notice of Intent (signed application) to: Wastewater Section Chief (8WD-CWW), 1595 Wynkoop Street, Denver, Colorado 80202 and email a scanned copy to Michael Boeglin (boeglin.michael@epa.gov). If you are unable to email a scanned copy, please contact Region 8 NPDES staff by telephone.

2019 Drinking Water General Permit
The 2019 permit was administratively continued on June 30, 2024, and the EPA expects to terminate it later in 2026.
