Mountain & Plains States Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit
EPA and the Agency for Toxic Substances and Disease Registry (ATSDR) jointly support the Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Units (PEHSUs), which is a network of experts in pediatric environmental health located throughout North America. PEHSUs were created to ensure that health professionals and communities have access to specialized medical knowledge and resources for children faced with a health risk due to a natural or human-made environmental hazard.
The Mountain & Plains States Pediatric Environmental Health Specialty Unit is available to answer questions from health care professionals, parents, school officials, or other community members about children's symptoms that may be related to environmental exposures.
