EPA issued a TSCA approval for this facility on August 8, 2024. This approval authorizes the facility to dispose of non-liquid PCB waste in landfills, and store, process, and treat PCB-containing wastes prior to disposal. The approval also authorizes the facility to dispose of non-liquid PCB waste in landfill cells to be built after EPA receives and approves a schedule and construction report from Chemical Waste Management of the Northwest, Inc.
The TSCA approval also requires the facility to monitor and maintain the landfills that previously accepted PCB wastes but are no longer operating.
