Draft Approval to Dispose of Less than 50 Parts Per Million Polychlorinated Biphenyl Remediation Waste Issued to New American Public Power Association (APPA) Members
This page contains the draft approval issued for public comment to two new members of the American Public Power Association (APPA) for the disposal of less than 50 parts per million (ppm) PCB remediation waste under the Toxic Substances Control Act. These approvals will allow the APPA members who joined APPA since September 2017, when EPA first issued approvals to APPA members, to be granted the same permissions as the original APPA members- to dispose of low-level (less than 50 ppm) PCBs in certain non-TSCA approved disposal facilities, such as municipal solid waste landfills, non-hazardous waste landfills and hazardous waste landfills.
