Action Code Interpretation

This application is for adding a single new source of a safener (a chemical that selectively protects crop plants against herbicide injury). The safener must have been previously approved for use in a pesticide product registered for use in or on food and for which there is an existing tolerance or exemption from the requirement of a tolerance under section 408 of the FFDCA. This application requires the submission of preliminary analysis data (OCSPP Harmonized Test Guideline 830.1700) specific to the new source of safener. If the request also includes changes/amendments to existing tolerances or tolerance exemptions, additional PRIA categories will apply.
