Pesticide Registration Improvement Extension Act of 2018 (PRIA 4)

PRIA 4 Update

On Friday, March 8, 2019, the President signed into law the Pesticide Registration Improvement Extension Act of 2018 (PRIA 4), which reauthorizes PRIA for 5 years through fiscal year 2023, and updates the fee collection provisions of the Federal Insecticide, Fungicide, and Rodenticide Act.  The law becomes effective as of the date of signature, and applications submitted on or after March 8, 2019, will be subject to the fees and decision time frames specified in the law.  PRIA 4 fees and decision time frames and fees are not applicable to pending applications submitted either under PRIA 3 authority or during the period in which PRIA lapsed.

EPA is in the process of updating its web pages to be reflective of PRIA 4.
