EPA Research to Support States
EPA Tools & Resources Training Webinar: Visualizing Ecosystem Land Management Assets
Visualizing Ecosystem Land Management Assets (VELMA) is a tool designed to model decisions for a wide array of environmental issues. It's a spatially explicit ecohydrological watershed model planners use to visualize the effects of different scenarios. This training webinar will provide an overview of VELMA, work through an example application of the tool, and share the range of ways that the tool has been or will be applied.
The success of environmental and public health protection in the United States begins on the front lines at the state and local levels. This site provides information on how EPA's Office of Research and Development (ORD) engages and collaborates with states, including tools and other resources available to states.
