RPS Indicator Database and Map Service

The EPA RPS Team maintains a database of indicators for HUC12 subwatersheds in the contiguous U.S. The data are periodically updated based on changes to underlying data sources and as resources allow.

The following options are available for accessing HUC12 indicator data:

  • A subset of HUC12 indicators is provided within:
    • The Web RPS Tool and Excel RPS Tools. The indicators included in the tools are selected based on user needs and how recently the data have been added or updated. Use the Contact Us form if you would like to request indicator additions to any of our RPS Tool products.
  • The complete HUC12 RPS Indicator Database can be:
    • Downloaded in Excel spreadsheet or Esri geodatabase format from the RPS Indicator Database page.
    • Accessed from the RPS Map Service page. Map services provide users with access to a geospatial dataset without needing to download and store the data on a laptop or desktop computer. Map services are particularly useful for web-based applications, such as mapping or data analysis tools.

Indicator data for subwatersheds in Alaska, Hawaii and U.S territories are maintained separately from the RPS Indicator Database and are available in custom Excel RPS Tool files for those states and territories.
