Strategy and Policy Support

The Smart Sectors program works with business groups, regulators and other interested parties to develop workable strategies to improve environmental performance and promote sustainable business practices.

Program leads for each sector:

Maintain meaningful, open dialogue with members of the business community and other stakeholders to increase mutual understanding of sector-based issues.
Conduct educational site visits and host roundtables with EPA leadership and technical staff.
Analyze data and pursue forward-thinking strategies to advance environmental progress.
Develop reports and other information that profile the impact of each sector on the economy and the environment.
