Summary

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency is proposing to issue an Underground Injection Control (UIC) permit related action, under the authority of the Safe Drinking Water Act and UIC Program regulations, that would authorize CF Altitude LLC. to operate an injection well. The Class V well, Kwik Stop System #1 was previously operated by Pester Marketing Company, Denver, CO. CF Altitude LLC. has submitted an application to operate and renew the existing Class V well to accept carwash fluids that has been in operation since 2011. The septic system associated with the carwash is operational and all required sampling data has been submitted. The permit authorizes disposal of wastewater generated from car washing activities into the on-site septic system. The septic system discharges (injects) three to seven feet deep into the surficial unconfined aquifer.
