Read about what EPA Region 9, Hawaii’s Department of Health, U.S. Navy, and Defense Logistics Agency are doing to protect human health and the environment by evaluating a fuel leak and aging infrastructure at Red Hill Bulk Fuel Storage Facility near Honolulu, Hawaii.  Red Hill has a storage capacity of 250 million gallons and is the largest underground fuel storage facility in the United States.  Red Hill can store about 10,000 times more fuel than a typical gas station.
