Fact Sheet: Perimeter Wall Construction Closure

Originally published May 2025.

In March 2025, the EPA and the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers began replacing the existing sheet pile wall along the perimeter of the former Wyckoff facility area. Portions of the wall are deteriorating due to decades of exposure to natural elements.

For public safety, portions of the site that were previously accessible to the public are closed during construction.

Barricades are in place to prevent access to construction zones. The map and photos below show the areas that are now closed to public access.

For more information about this work, read our fact sheet about the perimeter wall replacement.
