What We Do
OFOM is responsible for:
- Manages the financial statement preparation and other financial matters for the EPA required by the Treasury Department, the Office of Management and Budget, the Government Accountability Office and others;
- Overseeing, maintaining, and supporting Agency resource and financial management functions, including employee travel; national, local and specialized accounting; financial and customer services; the Working Capital Fund management and oversight; payroll support; and implementation and testing of internal controls as part of the agency’s environmental risk management program;
- Defining, creating, operating, and securing shared information technology solutions and data for financial management, in support of agency operations and mission;
To carry out these functions, OFOM collaborates, coordinates, and interacts with a variety of stakeholders, both internal and external to the Agency at multiple levels including at the national level.
