CCL 5 Technical Support Documents

EPA developed three technical support documents to describe the processes and data used to identify chemical and microbial contaminants for CCL 5.

Response to Public Comments on the Draft CCL 5

EPA received a total of 54 unique comment letters from the public following the July 19, 2021 announcement of the draft CCL 5 Federal Register Notice. EPA developed a document that details the public comments received on the draft CCL 5 and how EPA responded.

Consultation with EPA's Science Advisory Board

In January 2022, EPA initiated a series of  public meetings with the Science Advisory Board (SAB) Drinking Water Committee Augmented for the CCL 5 Review. The Committee provided responses to a list of charge questions and additional recommendations for finalizing the CCL 5 and for the development of future CCLs.
