Public Notice: Opportunity to Comment on Notification of Zero Discharge Requirements for Last Best Armory LLC in Montana
Summary
The purpose of this notice is to state the EPA’s intention to issue a Notice of Discharge Requirements implementing the Categorical Pretreatment Standards found in 40 CFR Part 433 (Metal Finishing Point Source Category) and the Pretreatment Standards found in 40 CFR Part 403 (General Pretreatment Regulations).
Activity
The Last Best Armory LLC is a rifle manufacturer using machining, bluing and case hardening unit operations. The Last Best Armory LLC is subject to the Pretreatment Standards for New Sources in the Metal Finishing Generating Point Source Category, if it were to discharge to the City of Big Timber. The Last Best Armory LLC does not discharge and maintains a zero-discharge status for it regulated wastestream by evaporation and wastewater reuse. The facility is prohibited to discharge non-domestic wastewater to the City of Big Timber Publicly Owned Treatment Works under the National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System permit number MT-PF00102.

The public comment period ends 30 calendar days after the date of publication of this notice. Any interested person may submit written comments on the draft permit.
