Recent extreme space weather events, such as the May 2024 global geomagnetic storm and December 2023 Solar Radio Burst that disrupted airline communications in the Continental U.S., showed the potential to affect critical infrastructure, including the power grid and water and wastewater systems.

Please join the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) on March 31, 2026, from 2-3 PM ET for a one-hour webinar on space weather and how water and wastewater utilities can prepare for possible impacts with a focus on the bulk electric system, power grid, and communication systems.
