About the Office of the Chief Facilities & Security Officer

What We Do

The Office of the Chief Facilities & Security Officer (OCFSO) develops, directs, and maintains sustainable, safe, and secure workplaces nationwide. This includes the acquisition and infrastructure maintenance of all facilities, physical security, real property management, fleet and transportation, environmental management/compliance, and occupational health & safety programs in support of the agency’s mission. OCFSO is also responsible for the physical asset management and facility support services for the agency’s largest facilities - in and around Cincinnati, Ohio, Research Park, North Carolina, and the Washington, D.C. metro area. This includes oversight of all maintenance, construction projects, building services and amenities, and responsibility for the security, safety, sustainability, and longevity of the agency’s three largest facilities.
