Could you clarify cost-share requirements for this opportunity?
Cost-share or match is not a requirement to be eligible to apply for this funding opportunity and is not a scoring factor in the evaluation of the proposals. For this reason, applicants should only include federal funds on the SF-424, SF-424A, and the budget narrative. If an applicant chooses to…
-
The budget form, SF424A (non-construction programs) in https://grants.gov allows applicants to input data for five years of funding. The solicitation allows for six years. How do we handle inputting budget information for an additional year?
On budget form 424-A, applicants need to include their entire budget in Section A and the entire budget breakdown in Section B. For Sections D and E, applicants will include their budget breakdown for the first five years. Applicants can exclude year six of the budget in Sections D and…

Do we need a Good Laboratory Practice-certified commercial lab(s) for the chemical analyses? We believe the answer will be no.
The NOFO does not include a requirement regarding Good Laboratory Practice certification for laboratories. However, if selected, the awarded applicant will be required to submit quality assurance documentation, including a demonstration of competency for all aspects of the project that include environmental data. Please see page 7 of the NOFO…
-
Are we expected to provide freezer space for long-term storage of fish samples?
Page six of the NOFO says, "Applicants must also demonstrate how they will store sample extracts for the duration of the six-year agreement." Your project narrative should clearly describe how you will achieve that requirement.
-
Do you accept letters of support?
Yes, letters of support are accepted. Please refer to page 17 of the NOFO for additional details on letters of support.
-
I thought it might be a good idea to confirm that this program/RFA is still going to accept applications as planned. Please let me know.
EPA is accepting applications for this NOFO until 10:59 central time/11:59 PM Eastern on March 14, 2025. As stated on page 5 of the NOFO, selection under this NOFO is not a guarantee of future funding.
-
Can you send an example of a similar submission to get a better sense of how much info should be included?
EPA cannot provide examples or comment on draft materials. Please read the NOFO in its entirety to ensure all requirements are detailed and to provide your best submission.

My organization has staff that collaborate with EPA GLNPO staff as part of another program. Are they able to participate in our submission to the Fish Monitoring Program?
An organization's or their staff's participation in another GLRI program does not, itself, disqualify them from participating in an application to the Fish Monitoring Program. However, any potential conflicts of interest should be communicated to the NOFO Administrative Lead and will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis.
