Guidance: Protocol for Conducting Environmental Compliance Audits under the Emergency Planning and Community Right-to-Know Act (EPCRA) and CERCLA Section 103

The EPCRA and CERCLA Section 103 audit protocol was developed to assist and encourage businesses and organizations to perform environmental audits and disclose violations in accordance with EPA's Audit and Small Business Policies. The audit protocols are also intended to promote consistency among regulated entities when conducting environmental audits and to ensure that audits are conducted in a thorough and comprehensive manner. Detailed regulatory checklists are included in the protocol.
