Enterprise Architecture

EPA's Enterprise Architecture program is defined in EPA's Enterprise Architecture Policy. Enterprise IT Architecture is a practiced framework that consults on the structure of IT within an organization. IT Architecture ensures that the enterprise is structured correctly to meet current and future mission goals of the agency.

Developers will work with the IT Architecture program in consultation and to seek approval of application design and technology choice. 

EPA IT Architecture Initiatives

IT Standards

  • EPA's IT Architecture program establishes a baseline set of reviewed and approved technologies available for developers and IT leaders to reference.

Zero Trust

  • EPA's IT Architecture program continues to implement Zero Trust Architecture in EPA's IT Environment as outlined by OMB Memo M-22-09 Moving the U.S. Government Toward Zero Trust Cybersecurity Principles. 

TIC 3.0

  • The Trusted Internet Connection initiative continues to build on top of the foundation set by previous TIC efforts to further enhance security, augment visibility, and integrate network connections throughout the federal network.
