Guidance: Managing Remediation Wastes Under RCRA

In October 1998, the Agency issued the guidance document titled "Management of Remediation Wastes under RCRA" and a chart summarizing the regulations and policies that often affect management of remediation wastes under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) that are cited in the guidance document. The documents were issued 10/14/1998 and 10/15/1998 respectively.

The guidance document provides the following information on regulations and policies that apply to: 

1. all remediation waste;
2. only contaminated media; and,
3. only contaminated debris.
