FAST-41 Projects With EPA Permits

EPA receives permit applications for projects covered by the Fixing America’s Surface Transportation Act - Title 41. This map shows the locations of FAST-41 projects with EPA permits across the U.S.

OCS = Outer Continental Shelf, NPDES = National Pollutant Discharge Elimination System, UIC = Underground Injection Control

Further information regarding project and permit status can be found on the table below or on the Permitting Dashboard for Federal Infrastructure Projects.

On the table below, the Milestone column uses milestones from the Permitting Dashboard (see graphic) to display the most recent milestone the permit has reached. “Planned” is noted if federal agencies and project sponsors are working to develop a schedule, “pending” is noted if a schedule has been established but a milestone has not yet been reached and "paused" is noted if a project has not been canceled but the permitting process cannot progress at this time.

Timeline showing significant milestones for EPA included in the permitting dashboard. The first step is "Notice of Intent to Apply for a Permit Submitted (Outer Continental Shelf air permits only)," followed by "Permit Application Submitted," followed by "Permit Application Complete," ending with "Issuance of Final Decision."
