Contacts in the Office of Pesticide Programs, Regulatory Divisions (AD, BPPD, PRD, RD)

Antimicrobials Division (AD)

The Antimicrobials Division (AD) is responsible for all regulatory activities associated with antimicrobial pesticides, including:

  • product registrations;
  • amendments; and
  • reregistrations.

Biopesticides and Pollution Prevention Division (BPPD)

Biopesticides and Pollution Prevention Division (BPPD) is responsible for all regulatory activities associated with biologically-based pesticides, for example, product registration, amendments, experimental use permits, registration review. BPPD activities also include work to reduce pesticide risks by:

  • promoting integrated pest management; and
  • coordinating the Pesticide Environmental Stewardship Program.

Pesticide Reevaluation Division (PRD)

The Pesticide Reevaluation Division (PRD) is responsible for:

  • registration review; and
  • reregistration follow up  for conventional pesticides including:
    • post-RED activities,
    • product reregistration, and
    • implementing certain tolerance reassessment decisions) 

Registration Division (RD)

The Registration Division (RD) is responsible for the following actions for conventional chemical pesticides:

  • product registrations;
  • amendments;
  • registrations;
  • tolerances;
  • experimental use permits; and
  • emergency exemptions. 

The division also evaluates and approves inert ingredients.
