The Growing Public Health Impact of Wildfire Smoke Emissions Webinar Archive

This webinar provides an overview of wildfire smoke and its health effects along with tools available to provide public health guidance during wildfire events. The overview includes the Wildfire Smoke Guide for Public Health Officials and an effort that is underway lead by EPA’s Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards (OAQPS) in partnership with ORD, US Forest Service, and CDC to update the wildfire smoke guide and to provide the draft updated version for use by the States during the 2016 wildfire season. This webinar was given on March 16, 2016 by Wayne Cascio, MD, FACC, of the US EPA.
