Volume 2 - Point Sources

This document provides technical documentation of point source emissions estimation as a part of the ten volumes of the Emissions Inventory Improvement Program (EIIP) materials. These volumes provide standard procedures for calculating air emissions data with targeted quality objectives using cost effective approaches, but in some cases have become outdated.

“Volume 2 – Point Sources” provides a complete reference for both the general case of point source emissions (Chapter 1) as well as for 15 specific cases (Chapters 2 through 16) for a variety of industries often included as point source emissions in inventories. The chapters include point source guidance on planning, emissions estimation, data collection, inventory documentation and reporting, and quality assurance/quality control.
