Veolia Sauget 2023 Title V Permit Renewal Application

The U.S. Environmental Protection Agency has received an application from Veolia ES Technical Solutions in Sauget, Illinois (Veolia) to renew its Clean Air Act Title V operating permit (title V permit) that EPA last issued to the facility in June 2019. Veolia owns and operates a hazardous waste treatment, storage, and disposal facility in Sauget, Illinois. The primary activities addressed by the title V permit application include receipt of bulk waste or waste in containers, waste processing, waste storage, and waste incineration.

The facility’s current title V permit, which expires on July 18, 2024, specifies that Veolia’s right to operate will terminate on July 18, 2024 unless the company has submitted a complete permit renewal application to EPA at least 6 calendar months, but not more than 18 calendar months, prior to the date of expiration of the current permit.

EPA has established an online docket for this permit action at Regulations.gov, docket ID. EPA-R05-OAR-2023-0570.
