EPA Position Regarding Issuance of Imminent and Substantial Endangerment Orders at DoD Facilities
The Department of Justice's response to Department of Defense's (DOD) May 15, 2008 letter requesting the Attorney General to resolve a dispute between EPA and DoD concerning four "imminent and substantial endangerment" orders issued by EPA under the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA) and the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) at DoD facilities listed on the National Priorities List (NPL).
